Platinum LCRS v.4

Description

"Born in Europe – Crafted for the World" - redefined!

The Platinum has been always considered as the most important speaker series in the TAGA Harmony premium category.
When crafting the Platinum v.4, TAGA Harmony team was aware of high expectations for the superior sound performance known from its predecessors and of the challenges to incorporate a new, modern looks of the series. The final outcome has exceeded all planned goals and resulted in the stunning sound performance, which, as TAGA Harmony believes, is far beyond the price range of the Platinum v.4 series.

TAGA Harmony has completely redefined the Platinum series, implementing upgrades in all crucial components, which are responsible for the sound and introducing totally new, elegant and modern enclosures.

TAGA Harmony believes that because music and sound are all about emotions and what we feel, when building the Platinum v.4 most efforts were put on intensive listening tests and thorough and precise sound adjustments. The Platinum v.4 sound is characterized by the deep, perfectly controlled and defined bass, smooth and rich midrange and appealing, detailed and crystal clear highs with very open and airy soundstage.

KEY FEATURES
The 3nd generation TLIE-II enclosures (Taga Low Interference Enclosures) which uses more rigid structure and thicker MDF walls to limit unwanted resonances and increased internal volumes.
Enclosure walls thickness: 18 mm front baffle and 15 mm walls.

TAGA Harmony new logo badge placed on cabinet front panels - shows our strive and passion for the perfect harmony of the sound performance.

Magnetically mountable grill - helps to keep more sleek appearance of the speakers as well as lower distortions when the grill is taken off.

High-end enclosure damping material to better break up the standing waves, lower resonances and limit distortions what improves the smoothness and characteristics of sound in all ranges.

High quality glossy paint finishes.

BOM Bassreflex Omnidirectional Module -low-turbulence and high-velocity port utilizing concave diffusers for increased dispersion of low frequencies.

The 2nd generation TPTTD-I tweeter (Taga Pure Titanium Tweeter Dome) utilizes a light titanium dome as well as an addition of a copper ring on the T-yoke to increase and widen SPL and at the same time lower distortions and to provide faster and more accurate movement of the dome reflecting in more detailed and airy sound.
The 2nd generation TWG-I tweeter faceplate  (Taga WaveGuide) - specialized horn-like design of the tweeter's faceplate utilizing concave diffusers as well as dome metal grill assists with equal and flat dispersion of sound in and off the axis of the driver. In the newest edition the shape and depth have been redesigned to allow better flow of sound stream and even wider dispersion which helps to build a more three-dimensional and natural soundstage. Minimizing the number of components means better structural rigidity, lower distortions and resonances.

The 3rd generation TPACD-II bass-midrange driver (Taga Pure Aluminum Cone Drivers) - rigid aluminum chassis with ultra-fast movement provide smooth, rich and very natural midrange frequency response as well as deep, precise and detailed bass performance.

TRCS - Taga Reversed Cone Surround provides more stable, faster and greater range of cone movement reflecting in higher dynamics and more precise and neutral sound.

Ogrodnik crossover - Platinum v.4 series performance is controlled by Ogrodnik crossover sections. They are specially and personally designed and engineered by a well-recognized Polish loudspeaker designer and an audio press reviewer Mr. Arek Ogrodnik.
We use minimal number of high quality and carefully selected components in the high-pass and low-pass crossover sections to ensure the best neutrality, to handle massive amounts of power and to provide the greatest precision.

Internal wiring made of multi-stranded Oxygen Free Copper for connecting all drivers with crossovers and to ensure that the incoming signal will not lose the most important details on the path from the amplifier to the drivers.

Binding posts - high quality, gold-plated accepting raw speaker cables up to 10AWG and most popular types of connectors.

Technology

HIGH-FREQUENCY DRIVER

1. T-YOKE / Pole piece
2. Copper ring
3. Oversized Φ70 mm ferrite magnet
4. Top plate
5. TPTTD-I Taga Pure Titanium Tweeter Dome and CCAW voice coil with silver wiring
6. TWG-I faceplate - basis
7. Metal grill
8. TWG-I faceplate - front panel

TPTTD-I – the 2nd generation Taga Pure Titanium Tweeter Dome utilizes a new differently shaped and lighter titanium dome as well as an addition of a copper ring on the T-yoke to increase and widen SPL and at the same time lower distortions and to provide faster and more accurate movement of the dome reflecting in more detailed and airy sound.

TWG-I - Taga WaveGuide  tweeter faceplateThe specialized horn-like design of the tweeter's faceplate utilizing concave diffusers as well as a dome metal grill assists with the equal and flat dispersion of sound in and off the axis of the driver. In the newest edition the shape and depth have been redesigned to allow better flow of the sound stream and even wider dispersion which helps to build a more three-dimensional and natural soundstage. Minimizing the number of components means better structural rigidity, lower distortions and resonances.

MIDRANGE DRIVER / BASS-MIDRANGE DRIVER / BASS DRIVER

1. T-YOKE / Pole piece
2. Oversized ferrite magnet
3. Top plate
4. Aluminum injection-molded chassis with anti-oxidation surface process
5. Spider
6. Flat wire copper voice coil [F-120/100/LCRS bass & B-40 bass-midrange]
7. TPACD-II Taga Pure Aluminum Cone and TRCS rubber surround
8. Pure aluminum dust cap

TPACD-II – the 3rd generation Taga Pure Aluminum Cone Drivers utilize rigid aluminum chassis and provide ultra-fast movement for smooth, rich and very natural midrange frequency response as well as deep, precise and detailed bass performance.
- Specially shaped and lighter aluminum cones allow faster, more accurate movement of the cone reflecting in more detailed and airy sound.
- New flat pure aluminum dust cap to increase air flow and smoothen the frequency response.
- Heavy duty and powerful motor structure including oversized magnets:  F-120 v.4 / F-100 v.4 Φ90 mm in the midrange driver, Φ110 mm in the bass drivers | B-40 v.4  Φ120 mm | S v.4 / C-100 v.4 / S-100 v.4 Φ80 mm | LCRS v.4 ø110 mm, and revised flat wire [only in F-120 v.4 / F-100 v.4 / LCRS v.4 bass and B-40 v.4 bass-midrange drivers] copper voice coils offer higher power handling and a longer operation time without increased temperature to provide better and more dynamic sound performance.

TRCS - Taga Reversed Cone Surround provides more stable, faster and greater range of cone movement reflecting in higher dynamics and more precise and neutral sound.
