High-End Power Line Conditioner with DC Blocker PC-10000DC combines 4 functions in one device: power noise filtering; DC component blocking; linear power supply for USB ports; and surge and overload protection (for all powered outputs and USB ports).

Power noise filtering

The electricity network in our homes and workplaces is exposed to various types of interference, such as electromagnetic interference (EMI) generated by devices connected to the same power grid, including refrigerators, air conditioners, computers, and similar equipment.
These interferences are not only produced within your own home or office, but also by appliances used elsewhere in the building or even outside it.
Their intensity may vary depending on the time of day or week, as overall electrical network load changes.
All of these disturbances, commonly referred to as electrical noise, can enter your AC power supply and interfere with the performance of your system.
This so-called “dirty electricity” can have a negative impact on the sound and image quality of your audio-video system.

The PC-10000DC is an effective way to reduce these unwanted noises and isolate your system from contaminated power, helping your equipment perform at its best.
In addition, polluted electricity can adversely affect internal circuits and power supplies over time.
Acting as a buffer between the wall socket and your equipment, the PC-10000DC helps protecting the connected components and may contribute to their increased longevity.

  • Independent groups of 230V Schuko power sockets utilizing four independent, non-interfering filtering systems, each specifically designed for its respective group and optimized for use with dedicated audio and video equipment.
  • Optimized circuit boards layout aligned with current flow paths, reducing radiated electromagnetic interference.

  • Separate SQ common-mode choke inductors are used for each socket group
  • Wound with high-purity flat oxygen-free copper wire.
  • Low DC resistance, uniformly distributed electric field, and extremely low distributed capacitance for improved high-frequency EMI filtering.
  • Excellent heat dissipation for higher efficiency and stable operation.
  • High current capability – current density is more than 1.3 times that of round copper wire of similar size, allowing better filtering performance.
  • Additional filtering advantages include a closed magnetic circuit, minimal magnetic leakage, good conduction and radiation characteristics, stable consistency, and improved high-frequency skin-effect behavior.

  • High-quality Class X and Y capacitors used to enhance power-line noise filtering and overall system stability.

  • High-power 200 W toroidal transformer used to isolate source equipment from line noise
  • An independent shielding cover with dedicated ventilation openings provides improved electromagnetic shielding and more efficient heat dissipation.
  • 18AWG oxygen-free copper wiring: primary AWM 1672 and secondary AWM 1007, providing excellent conductivity and reliability.

  • 12 brass plate connectors wire-free design used to connect each filtering board group to the main board. Each filtering group is linked to the main board via three thick brass plate connectors, ensuring the shortest connection for optimal current transfer and minimal loss.

  • Individual metal shielding of each filter group, the main circuit board, and the power transformer ensures optimal isolation and limit interferences.

DC BLOCKER

Built-in DC blocker removes, or significantly reduces, the unwanted DC component of the supply voltage in the selected output power sockets. This DC component is responsible for transformer noise (buzzing) and increased operating temperature, both of which can negatively affect sound quality.
As a result, connected audio-video devices operate more quietly and efficiently, while mains hum audible through speakers is significantly reduced.

• Real-time switchable DC Blocker for selected 230V power socket groups, allowing the DC Blocker to be turned ON or OFF on the fly for optimal sound performance.
• Powerful DC blocking capability of incoming DC offset up to 12,000 mV (12 V).
• Utilizes 10 high-current, high-frequency bridge rectifiers and two 47,000 µF capacitors, delivering extremely efficient DC blocking while avoiding any negative impact on sound quality.

LINEAR POWER SUPPLY FOR USB OUTPUTS

Most DC-powered electronic devices use simple, low-cost external power adapters based on switch-mode power supplies.
These adapters operate at high switching frequencies, which can generate various types of electrical noise.
This noise may enter the connected devices and even be injected back into the household power network, potentially affecting other equipment.
Such electrical noise can significantly degrade the sound quality and overall performance of audio-video devices.

The solution is to use a high-quality linear power supply, such as the one implemented in the PC-10000DC based on the built-in isolating toroidal power transformer.

The PC-DC linear power supply provides a clear and immediate improvement in sound quality and operational efficiency for USB-powered devices.

The power supply system for the USB ports employs a three-tier filtering network:

Tier I and Tier II for 230V AC: initial filtering by the device’s main power noise filtering system, followed by additional isolation and filtering provided by the built-in power transformer.

Tier III for DC voltage: specially designed filtering at the final stage, including high-frequency EMI filtering for the 5V output, implemented separately for the USB ports.

The USB outputs are equipped with TVS (Transient Voltage Suppressor) and overvoltage protection devices to safeguard against issues originating from connected devices.

SINGLE CRYSTAL 5N (99.999%) OXYGEN FREE COPPER INTERNAL WIRING

• Internal wires connecting the group boards to the 230V sockets, as well as the inlet wiring, are made of 12AWG single-crystal 5N (99.999%) oxygen-free copper.

• Wires connecting all switches (Power, Phase) to the main board are AWM 1015 12AWG oxygen-free copper.

• Wires connecting USB ports to the main board are AWM 1672 20AWG oxygen-free copper.

• Analog and digital indicators use AWM 1672 oxygen-free copper wires for connection to the main board (double-insulated 22AWG for the analog indicator, and 26AWG for the digital indicators).

SURGE AND OVERLOAD PROTECTION

The PC-10000DC provides surge and overload protection for all outputs.

I tier protection: the filtering and protection system.

II tier, 4-level additional protection for the USB ports: the system using the built-in isolating power transformer → step-down switching regulator → High frequency EMI filtering for 5V output → short-circuit and thermal overload circuit specially designed for the USB ports.

ANTI-VIBRATION PLATFORM

All critical components, including the group and main circuit boards are mounted on an anti-vibration platform suspended on 12 damping industrial-type standoffs.
This platform provides additional isolation of the components, resulting in improved protection from mechanical vibrations and interference.

ANTI-VIBRATION FEET

The conditioner rests on metal-ball isolation feet that effectively isolate the device from unwanted vibrations.
Each foot consists of two massive metal segments with precision metal balls placed between them, as well as damping pads on both the top and bottom sides.

PC/PF -what is the difference between PC series conditioners and PF filters?

The PF series filters provide mains noise filtering function.
The filtering system is designed in a universal way to work with various audio-video devices.

The PC series conditioners provide a more advanced filtering system with specially optimized sections (groups) for specific types of devices, e.g. preamplifiers, amplifiers or sound sources. The section dedicated to sound sources is additionally isolated by a toroidal transformer.

Models with the DC symbol are equipped with the DC component blocking function (DC blocker).
Models with the USB symbol are equipped with a charging function via USB.
Models with the LPS symbol are equipped with a linear power supply function for DC.

All conditioners and filters are equipped with surge and overload protection.
